Mid Autumn in Taiwan

The Mid Autumn Festival is usually celebrated with watching the moon and eating moon cakes. Here in Taiwan they traditionally celebrate with a barbecue too.

This family is sitting next to a busy street outside their store having their barbecue. It looks like they kept the store open at the same time, quite ambitious!

A group of young men are celebrating with a big meal at the street in downtown Hsingchu, just a few hundred meters from the train station. I was a little afraid while walking up to them, thinking they would get upset me stealing their photo.

Luckily they where just striking some poses and smiling happily. I waited for some time until they got distracted by eating again before taking this one.
