Hsingchu train station

Hsingchu train station was built when Taiwan was under Japanese rule, its architecture makes it clearly stand out from the surrounding area. In the first photo below you can see both the station and a modern high-end shopping mall.

The station area is full of shopping-hungry pedestrians, bright yellow taxis and vendors hoping to sell their snacks. It is an area of intense sounds and never-ending commerce.
